That Time Buzzbee Changed the Name of the Club

I should probably start with a confession: I didn't name this club. A honeybird did.

When I announced my new art club - the Little Prints Club - Buzzbee heard something entirely different. Buzzbee is a hummingbird/honeybird who doesn't hear very well, and what he heard was "Little Prince Club." By the time I saw him next, he was wearing a crown.

Nobody had the heart to correct him. Honestly, by then it was too late. The crown is not a costume. It is a rank.

So welcome to My Little Prints Club - aka My Little Prince Club, thanks to Buzzbee.

Why snail mail?

Think about what usually lands in your mailbox: bills, flyers, and the occasional catalog you never asked for. I wanted to put something in there that makes a person smile before they even open it.

A real print is a small, stubborn thing in a scrolling world. You can hold it, prop it on a shelf, stick it on the fridge, or tuck it into a keepsake box and find it years later. It doesn't refresh, it doesn't vanish, and it never, ever asks you to update your password. Note: Mine is always Password123 - KIDDING! Probably.

And I know just the cast of characters to deliver that smile. Bauble Bay is the tropical island I paint - home to the wonderfully ridiculous birds (and one very determined crab) who live in my head and, increasingly, on my canvases. Every month, one of them arrives at your house.

What members get

Every month, members receive one exclusive 4×6 art print featuring a Bauble Bay resident, plus the Official Bauble Bay Collector's Record, sharing the story behind that month's artwork.

It's $8 a month, shipping included. Each month's print is a closely guarded secret until it's in the mail - no spoilers, only teasers. Except the first print for January 2027 will not be a secret. I want to be sure you know why these prints are so special AND Buzzbee paid me off in candy. (The teasers usually involve Clawrence at his easel, painting furiously and refusing to show anyone the canvas. Artist's privilege.)

Print No. 1: Little Prince Buzzbee

The very first print is the honeybird himself, in his crown and robe, in all his royal glory: Little Prince Buzzbee.

It had to be him. He's the reason the club has two names, and he'll be the reason a lot of mailboxes get glitter on them. Print No. 1 is the founding piece - the one that started it all - and there will only ever be one first print. The members who are in from the beginning are the ones who'll have it.

Meet a few residents

Buzzbee - Hummingbird who thought it was HONEYbird. Head of Island Sekurity. Believes he is a honeybird. Spends his days hunting for pollen despite being terribly allergic to it, which results in tremendous glitter sneezes. "Bzzchoo!"

Clawrence - A red crab who began life as Buzzbee's pet and has since taken on a life entirely of his own: camp direckter of Camp Clawzee, resident artist, and sometimes atturnie. He also painted his own self-portrait, which he now stamps in red ink onto every Collector's Record as his official seal of approval. He takes this responsibility very seriously. He also bought a domain and has a real love for tape.

Velour - Our narrator. He has opinions about everything, shares all of them, and considers most of the island's decisions questionable. His reviews end the same way every time: "TACKY. 💜"

The practical bits

Subscribe by the 5th of the month for prompt delivery. US addresses - territories and APO/FPO/DPO included. Gift memberships: 6 months for $48, or 12 months for $96 - the gift that keeps showing up, long after the wrapping paper is gone, and gift memberships don't auto-renew. First mailing goes out January 2027.

Be a founding member

The club officially launches in January 2027, and the Little Prints VIP List is open now on the club page - join it for launch updates and first word when doors open. Or join the club outright and be in from Print No. 1.

Founding members only get to be first once.

Tiny Prints. Big Happiness. 💜
